Hookie’s mission is to provide active users with information of the physical activities they have been engaged in. Monitoring physical activities and sharing the resulting information should be easy, rewarding and fun while motivating people to be more active. Hookie provides this information.

Hookie uses patented algorithms and a short sequence of 3D acceleration data to identify individuals from their distinct walking styles. As these walking styles are categorized, Hookie is able to automatically recognize the performed activity and is able to tell the kind of effect it has had on the performer’s health: whether it has been good for endurance, strength, balance, the skeletal system or flexibility. Hookie is working on adding more and more sports to the list recognized activities.

Hookie uses a unique cloud service to analyze the activity, enabling users to connect to it from anywhere in the world.
